Georgette Robey is a character in the 2023 crime thriller Luther: The Fallen Sun.

She is the wife of serial killer David Robey, he injured her in a house fire leaving her seriously burnt.

Biography[]

In 2007 Georgette found out her husband, David was convicted of sexual assault. She tries to leave him but he sets their house on fire scarring her. Following the fire Georgette requires special treatment and care at a hospital. The incident was ruled as arson by the authorities. A few years later, no one was convicted for the fire.

A few years later, Georgette’s husband David visits her at the hospital, He brings flowers and kisses her. He then shows her his phone which has a news report of a man talking about a woman who has gone missing. Georgette looks away for a second and David slaps her and tells her to look, he then puts his phone away. David then begins to sing and dance with Georgette in her wheelchair, and he eventually leaves.

A few days later, former DCI John Luther and DCI Odette Raine visit Georgette at the hospital, asking her about her husband. She initially says he is a good man but Luther knows she doesn’t mean it. Luther says she tried to stop him and that’s why he scarred her. Georgette then whispers her husband’s location to Odette, Luther and Odette then leave.

Several days later a corrupt DS Woodward arrives to kill Georgette after being forced by Robey to do so. Woodward goes to Georgette's room and apologises before attempting to kill her with some poison however Schenk is there alongside some police officers. Schenk says that Luther knew Robey had someone on the inside and Schenk knows that it is Woodward, Seeing no way out Woodward injects himself with the poison killing himself. Ultimately Georgette is left unharmed and Robey fails to hide himself from Luther, leading to his defeat.

Years before David sets their house on fire, Georgette and David love each other enough to get married. Georgette is shown to be scared of her husband however upon realising Luther is going to take her husband down she gives Luther the location of her husband suggesting equally wants her husband to pay for his crimes.

Personally[]

Georgette is shown to be tolerant of her husband when he visits her. When Luther and Odette visit her at first she says David is a good man but Luther knows she lies about David’s criminal activities. Georgette also is shown fearful of her husband.
