Dennis McCabe is a character of the 2023 crime thriller Luther: The Fallen Sun
He assists with breaking John Luther out of prison.
Biography[]
When Dennis was eight years old an incident occurred between him and his mother,What is unknown what happened.During McCabe’s criminal career he comes across DCI John Luther,This caused Dennis not to trust Luther.
One day whilst at his own business a scrap yard,McCabe received a phone call from Luther who is in prison.Luther asks if Dennis can help him,McCabe at first refuses however Luther explains that he is after a serial killer who already killed several people. McCabe then reluctantly agrees to break Luther out of prison.
Eventually Luther is able to get himself transferred following a large prison fight,While the prison van is on a lone dark road McCabe and his men armed with guns and in a van ambush the van,They knock unconscious the guards and successfully escape from the scene alongside Luther.
Some time later Luther McCabe and McCabe’s men arrive at garage inside is Luther’s car and some of his clothes,Luther pays McCabe and he gives him a device that can find the radio signal which Luther received in prison.

McCabe and Luther have some sort of history,However how they knew each other exactly is unknown, Presumably they met when Luther was investigating him for some sort of crime. They appear to get along well even with McCabe keeping Luther’s car and some of his stuff in storage for him.
Personally[]
McCabe is shown to be a criminal and his scrap business possibly being a front,However during Luther’s prison breakout he and his men don’t kill the guards just knock them unconscious suggesting he doesn’t kill police officers or doesn’t kill people unnecessarily.Following the prison breakout he is seen smiling alongside Luther.While Luther and McCabe are in the garage McCade expresses anger when talking to Luther about the serial killer,Suggesting that he doesn’t approve of the serial killer’s actions.
