The Battle at David Robey’s lair occurred when Luther and Odette shut down Robey’s operation and rescued Anya.
Background[]
After finding out where Robey is located via his wife,Georgette.Luther and Raine catch a ferry and travel to rural Norway.
While driving to Robey’s mansion,Luther’s and Raine’s car becomes stuck in the snow.The two then decide to walk to the mansion,With it only being a mile and a half away.The two then cross a frozen lake,Where they encounter several frozen bodies of Robey’s victims.
Luther and Raine then walk into the abandoned mansion and explore,They then hear Anya voice.Both of them find a body hanging from the ceiling,Raine shouts at Luther believe it to be her daughter.
Luther explores the mansion alone,Meanwhile Raine notices the body has a tattoo which Anya doesn’t she then realises that it isn’t Anya.Suddenly she is ambushed by Arkady and taken away.At the same time Luther goes deeper into the mansion but is ambushed and knocked unconscious by Robey.
Battle[]
Some time later Luther begins to wake up but then is sprayed with a hose,Robey then introduces the torture session to his audience.Robey introduces the audience to Luther and explains his motivations to him.Arkady then enters the room with Odette,Anya is revealed to be in another room with a large window.Odette runs to her daughter but is restrained by Nilsson,Anya then is strangled by Arkady via a plastic bag.
Robey then calmly explains to Odette that she can stop Anya’s torture,Eventually Odette asks Robey politely to do so and he complies.Robey then asks Odette to stab Luther with a knife,She refuses and Anya is suffocated.Odette then begs for it to stop and Robey allows this.Luther encourages Odette to stab him and Anya pleads with her mother not to.Odette then stabs Luther,Pleasing Robey and his audience.Luther is then thrown from the chair and Odette put in his place.
Robey then asks Luther to shatter Odette’s left kneecap with a hammer,Luther attempts to however he can’t bring himself to do it.This leads to Anya being suffocated and Odette stating she will be killed.Luther informs the audience that they are being traced and the police are on their way to them.Ultimately Robey’s audience begin turning off,Robey states that the audience are in a safe place and no one knows they are there.
Luther says that Georgette knows where they are and that she is alive and well,Luther then insults Robey several times,Angering him.Robey then gets Nilsson to attack him however Luther kills Nilsson with the hammer.Robey then makes his escape and Luther free Odette,Luther then pursues Robey.
Odette then frees Anya meanwhile Arkady attempts to escape however is locked in the room,He then confronts the Raine’s with an ice axe.Suddenly fuel is sprayed into the room by several sprinklers,Ready to torch the room.The Raine’s attempt to shut the fuel off via a valve however Arkady attacks Odette,She and Arkady fight eventually Odette is able to knock Arkady down.
The Raine’s then begin to turn the valve however Arkady attempts to murder them,The mother and daughter pick up a hose ready to fight the fire.Arkady charges at them however they kick him in to the fire which has just ignited,Burning him to death.The Raine’s then use the hose to try and control the fire.
Aftermath[]
Following the battle Robey operation is ultimately shut down and his lair destroyed,Eventually the Raine’s are able to escape thanks to Luther.
