The arrest of John Luther is cause by serial killer David Robey when he leaks some information about his past,Ultimately leading to Luther being prosecuted and imprisoned.
Background[]
Due to Luther’s investigation into Callum Aldrich’s disappearance,Robey contacts his associates to find information about Luther.while on the phone Robey talks to his people and says he knows Luther doesn’t have a online presence.Eventually Robey’s people find out about Luther’s past and leak the documents.
Arrest[]
Following the arrest of husband and wife serial killers,Jeremy and Vivian Lake,Luther is arrested by his boss Martin Schenk and charged with several serious crimes including,Breaking and entering,Suspect intimidation,Tampering with evidence,Bribery and alleged vigilante activities.Due to Luther’s past his arrest is heavily reported in the media Because of Luther’s arrest the investigation into Callum’s kidnapping ultimately grinds to a halt with little progress being made
Aftermath[]
Luther is trialled at court and then taken to a maximum security prison where he begins a lengthy sentence.Later on Luther receives a message from Callum’s kidnapping,Motivating him to escape from prison and pursue the killer.
